One of the earliest tourist resorts developed in Corfu. The endless pebbled beach and the all kinds of available infrastructure can satisfy even the most demanding visitors.
The old fishing village is named after river Messoghis, which flows into the local beach. The tree-covered beaches with the boats (the river is navigable) give some colour to the centre of the village.
Boats leave on a daily basis from the port of Messoghi for Syvota, Paxos and AntiPaxos.
To the south of Messoghi, along the coastal road, you will come across small tourist villages (lke Boukari and the fishing village Petritis ), famous for their fish taverns.
